Ava Cook joins the Red Stars for her first year from Michigan State University. The Michigan native was the club’s first pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft (18th overall). In her one year at Michigan State, Cook played and started in 17 games and scored seven goals with three assists. While at Grand Valley State University, Cook played in 84 games and started in 80, and scored 76 goals with 31 assists.
