Red Stars Announce 2024 Regular Season Schedule

The Chicago Red Stars and the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) have released the schedule for the 2024 NWSL season. The Red Stars kick off the season on the road to take on the Utah Royals in their first match back in the NWSL, then return to Chicago March 23 to face Seattle Reign FC in the team’s home opener at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL.  

Beginning today, Red Stars fans can secure tickets to all home matches through a variety of ticket options meant to cater to all fans. Fans hoping to experience the Red Stars for the first time, or come out to cheer on their favorite players from across the NWSL, can secure single-match tickets. In addition to single-match tickets, the Red Stars are offering Flex Plans for fans who want the freedom to attend multiple matches with their friends and family. By choosing the eight or 14 tickets Flex Plans, fans can choose how many of their tickets they use at one or more Red Stars home matches this season. For groups of 10 or more that want to attend a Red Stars match together, group tickets are also available and offer unforgettable experiences at discount pricing. Season memberships are also available now for fans who don’t want to miss a minute of the action and enjoy all the benefits of being a season ticket member including free parking, member-only events, flexible ticket exchange program and more. The Red Stars, this season, will play a total of 26 regular-season matches; 13 at SeatGeek Stadium and 13 on the road, including matches against expansion sides Utah Royals FC and Bay FC. The Red Stars welcome Utah to SeatGeek Stadium Sunday, May 12, in their second meeting of the season, while playing Bay FC at home Sunday, June 9.  

Through the NWSL’s landmark four-year domestic media rights agreements with CBS Sports, ESPN, Prime Video and Scripps Sports, Chicago Red Stars matches will be available to a wider range of fans across the United States. Chicago will play their first-ever match on Prime Video Friday, June 14, against the Kansas City Current, followed by the club’s first-ever match on ESPN Saturday, July 6, against the Houston Dash. On Sunday, September 1, the Red Stars will take on Angel City FC in a match broadcasted on CBS, the first Red Stars match on CBS since the 2021 NWSL Championship. Information about Red Stars matches to be aired locally to Chicagoland viewers will be announced at a later date.  

New this season is the NWSL’s direct-to-consumer platform NWSL+, which will stream all matches not available on the other platforms. NWSL+ is free to all fans tuning in to matches across the U.S. and available to download on all iOS/Android devices, as well as streaming TV distributors Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku. In addition to match coverage, highlights, select replays and additional league and club content will also be available for free on the app. 

Also new this season is the NWSL’s expanded playoff format, which will see eight teams qualify for the NWSL playoffs and fighting for the title of NWSL Champions. The quarterfinals round of the NWSL playoffs take place the weekend of November 9-10. The semifinal round kicks off the weekend of November 16-17 ahead of the NWSL Championship on November 23.
