W-League Recap – Round 4

CHICAGO – The Chicago Red Stars continue to shine in Australia as two players each scored a brace for their clubs.

Danielle Colaprico and Sydney FC just fell short in a 2-3 loss to league leaders Melbourne Victory. The midfielder played every minute while also assisting Chole Logarzo’s equalizing goal in the 39th minute of the match.

Sydney FC dropped to seventh place with just three points (1-2-0), but will look to bounce back in Round 5 against Canberra United.

Perth Glory forward Sam Kerr and midfielder Alyssa Mautz each tallied a brace in Round 4’s 5-2 victory over Melbourne City.

Kerr started the game off by earning the first goal in the 10th minute, and added her second in the 52nd. Mautz tallied her first goal in the 65th minute and finished the match with Perth’s fifth and final goal in second half stoppage time with Kerr earning the assist. Both players are tied for the most goal in the league with four.

Perth continues its spot in second place with eight points (2-0-2), just two points behind Melbourne Victory.
