Chicago, Il. – FC Kansas City will be making their second trip to Chicago this season to face the Red Stars on Sunday, July 14th, at 3:00 p.m. CT. Kansas City, led by Lauren Holiday (née Cheney) and Nicole Barnhart, are bringing a 5-game streak with no losses into this weekend’s tilt.
USWNT Head Coach Tom Sermanni will be in attendance, and will be available immediately following the match in the post game conference and press mix-zone. He will also appear at halftime on the live webcast of the match.
Coach Sermanni took over the USWNT in January of this year, replacing Pia Sundhage. In his short tenure, he has lead the U.S. Women to a championship title at the Algarve Cup in Portugal, and a 6-0-1 record in friendlies over Scotland, Germany, Netherlands, Canada and Korea.
The Red Stars play their home matches at Village of Lisle – Benedictine University Sports Complex, 5700 College Rd, Lisle, IL 60532.
