Four Red Stars Named to U.S. WNT SheBelieves Cup Training Camp Roster

Davidson, Ertz, Naeher, and Short invited to the 26-player camp

CHICAGO — The United States Women’s National Team announced their 26-player roster for the upcoming SheBelieves Cup training camp. Chicago Red Stars defenders Tierna Davidson, Julie Ertz, and Casey Short along with goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher were invited to the camp.

Ertz and Naeher return to camp after helping the U.S. WNT qualify for the 2020 Olympics earlier in the month. All four Red Stars players at the camp starred in a Chicago defense that was stellar during the finish of the 2019 NWSL season, as the team allowed two goals in six matches en route to the team’s first-ever NWSL Championship appearance.

The U.S. team begins play in the SheBelieves Cup on Thursday, March 5 against England at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Fla. (7 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and TUDN). The teams will then travel to Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., where the USA will play Spain on Sunday, March 8 (5 p.m. ET on ESPN and TUDN). The tournament will finish on Wednesday, March 11, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, as the USA against Japan (7 p.m. CT on ESPNews and TUDN).

U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Vlatko Andonovski will choose a final 23-player tournament roster for the SheBelieves Cup before the first game.
