On Saturday, Kerr wasted no time getting on the scoresheet after capitalizing off a rebound shot for her league-leading 12th goal of the season. She continued to test the Utah defense, getting seven shots on the night with four of those on target as the Red Stars won their fourth consecutive match.
With her fifth award, the Aussie superstar ties the record for most Player of the Week honors in a season, becoming the first player to win the award five times since the 2015 season. Kerr continues to extend her record for most all-time Player of the Week awards, with this being the 12th time in her career honor.
Kerr and the Red Stars now set their sights on a matchup against the Washington Spirit at WakeMed SoccerPlex. Kickoff is set for Saturday, August 10 at 6 pm CT
