CHICAGO – The Red Stars Reserves will finish the regular season on Sunday, June 30 when they play Indy Saints FC at Evergreen Bank Group Field. It’s the first time both teams will play each other this season.
On Wednesday, the Reserves game against Chicago City SC was canceled due to weather. According to the By-Laws, it will now be listed as a 0-0 final and the team points will be awarded based on the per game average for each team at the conclusion of play.
Before they play the Reserves, the Indy Saints have a game against the Green Bay Glory on Thursday, June 27. Indy currently has four points and a record of 1-5-1 in the Women’s Premier Soccer League’s Midwest Conference. Lesley Kiesling leads Indy with three goals, and the team will look for her to provide more scoring chances against the Reserves.
The Reserves are in the first place in the WPSL Midwest Conference and have 19 points on the season. Haley Johnson is the Reserves leading scorer with four goals. Patricia George and Chandra Eigenberger are tied for first in the team with three assists.
Kickoff for Sunday’s game at Evergreen Bank Group Field is scheduled for 3 PM CT. Attendance is free.
