Red Stars Reserves Find More Victory in Two-Game Road Trip

CHICAGO – The Red Stars Reserves continued on its winning ways as they defeated Minnesota TwinStars (5-0) and Fire SC 98 (4-0) this past weekend.

In the first match up, the Reserves started their 5-0 scoreline halfway through the first half as Jenna Szczesny notched the first goal after Jo Boyles laid her a nice ball over the backline. Just a minute before halftime, the Reserves doubled their lead as Boyles finished a strike from outside the box.

Second half saw much the same, as Boyles and Szczesny both finished a brace each, while Channing Foster notched the fifth and final goal.

The Reserves went on to a 4-0 victory against Fire SC 98, with Bri Visalli earning a brace in the first half for the first half scoreline. Foster earned her second goal of the weekend in the 60th minute, while Visalli notched the final goal, completing her hattrick.

Reserves goalkeeper Mackenzie Woods continued to remain scored on, as her and the backline hold a strong 38-0 goal difference.

The Red Stars Reserves return to action on Wednesday, June 20, as they hit the road to take on neighboring Chicago City SC at DePaul University. The match will kick off at 4 p.m. CT.
