Red Stars Partner with Illinois Bone & Joint Institute

World-class facility becomes club’s presenting sponsor, official medical partner

CHICAGO, Illinois – The Chicago Red Stars are proud to unveil Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) as the club’s presenting sponsor and official medical partner for the upcoming National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season. As part of the agreement, the world-class institution will see its logo featured on the front of all three Red Stars jerseys.

The April 25 home match against U.S. Women’s National Team superstar Alex Morgan and Portland Thorns FC will be “Illinois Bone & Joint Institute Title Night,” with many of the company’s employees attending in celebration of the new relationship.

IBJI is the leader in the Chicago area for excellence in orthopedic care. With 100 physicians and over 150 physical, occupational, and massage therapists spread throughout more than 20 locations in Chicago and north/northwest Chicagoland, IBJI offers a complete range of the most advanced orthopedic care for people of all ages.

Services include MRI, pain management, specialty care, sports medicine, rheumatology, surgery, rehabilitation and wellness. IBJI’s Health Performance Institute (HPI) is a premier medically-based sports training facility focused on high performance and injury prevention.

Said Dr. Roger Chams, who will serve as the official team physician of the Red Stars, “Illinois Bone & Joint Institute and its physicians, trainers and therapists have been proud partners and supporters of girls’ and women’s soccer throughout Chicagoland for many years. Our aim is to supply a ‘complete health’ approach to athletes, and we feel that by partnering directly with the Red Stars, we are able to challenge our own ‘game’ at the highest levels of the sport – during what promises to be an exciting year.”

The sentiment was echoed by Red Stars General Manager Alyse LaHue.

“Illinois Bone & Joint Institute will be a tremendous partner for us over this multi-year agreement,” she said. “Dr. Chams and his medical team at IBJI will provide our athletes with the elite-level service they need in order to stay healthy and on the pitch. We are thrilled to have IBJI on board and look forward to their support and expertise.”

The 2015 Chicago Red Stars season kicks off on April 18 with the team’s big home opener against Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe and current Shield holders Seattle Reign FC. Single-game and season tickets may be purchased by clicking here or by calling 773-698-6001.
