Red Stars Loan Defender Taryn Hemmings To Fortuna Hjorring

CHICAGO  – The Chicago Red Stars today announced that the team has loaned defender Taryn Hemmings to Danish club Fortuna Hjorring.

Hemmings, 28, appeared in 15 regular-season matches (9 starts) for the Red Stars in 2014, recording two assists.

Hemmings joined the Red Stars in 2013, playing in and starting 14 games for Chicago. During the team’s July 14, 2013 match against FC Kansas City, Hemmings suffered a torn ACL and MCL, ending her season. Hemmings made her professional debut in 2010 playing for the Boston Breakers of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS).

This will make for Hemmings second stint with an international club. She previously played with Australia’s Canberra United in 2010.

The Chicago Red Stars re-signed Hemmings for the 2015 NWSL season.
