CHICAGO – The Red Stars are launching a player jersey auction to generate proceeds to support those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Proceeds will go in part to JJ Watt’s Houston Relief Fund in an effort to help those struck by the disaster of Hurricane Harvey.
The auction will include signed jerseys by each member of the current Chicago Red Stars and will begin Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. CT and end Friday Sept.22 at noon CT, prior to the Red Stars game in Houston on Sept. 23.
Since Hurricane Harvey has hit Texas, JJ Watt set out a goal of to donate to his Houston Flood Relief Fund, with all proceeds going straight to those in need of assistance. With a current goal of $10 million, over 102,000 donors have surpassed this and continue to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
