This marks Nagasato’s second Player of the Week selection of her career after receiving the honor for Week 10 of the 2018 NWSL season.
On Sunday afternoon, Chicago defeated Reign FC 3-0 at SeatGeek Stadium behind a huge performance from Nagasato who finished with one goal and one assist. This season, Nagasato currently is second in the league in goals (3) and third in assists (2).
The Japanese international helped put the Red Stars on the board in the 13th minute when she played in Casey Short on the attack, who would chip Reign FC goalkeeper Lydia Williams. Just minutes into the second half, Nagasato would push Chicago to victory with a goal that’s nominated for NWSL Goal of the Week.
