Chicago Red Stars Announce Multi-Year Partnership with Wintrust

CHICAGO – Leading Chicago bank and long-time supporter of Chicago sports, Wintrust, has entered into a multi-year partnership with the Chicago Red Stars as the official bank of the Chicago Red Stars, the Red Stars Reserves and the Academy program.

“We are thrilled with Wintrust’s multi-year commitment to the Red Stars and women’s sports — they are such an important part of the sports landscape in Chicago,” said Chicago Red Stars owner, Arnim Whisler.

As part of the partnership, Wintrust will be the presenting sponsor of the Supernova Kids Club and the Supernova Kids Club Birthday Game to be hosted at Toyota Park on Saturday, April 21.

The Red Stars will also have its own branded debit card, to be available summer 2018 at Wintrust Bank locations.

“We hope our fans are as excited as we are about the Red Stars-branded debit card and expect them to embrace Wintrust as they do with our other partners in growing the team,” said Whisler.

“This is a really exciting partnership for us,” said Wintrust President, CEO & Founder Edward J. Wehmer. “As Chicago’s Bank, we’re proud to align ourselves with the things that are most iconic in this area, like the Chicago Red Stars. We’ve cheered for the team for a decade, so we’re honored to be the Chicago Red Stars’ official bank.”

The Red Stars will host Sky Blue FC on Saturday, April 21, for Supernova’s Birthday Game, presented by Wintrust. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. CT, and will be broadcast live on the NWSL app and the go90 app.
