Partnership will bring the Red Stars Academy to a new level
CHICAGO – The Chicago Red Stars Academy has announced today that they will partner with Challenger Sports to provide camps throughout the Midwest.
“We could not be more excited to partner the Red Stars Academy with the Challenger Sports brand,” said Academy Director and first assistant coach for the Chicago Red Stars professional team Bonnie Young. “Partnering with Challenger allows the Red Stars Academy to reach more girls throughout Illinois and the surrounding states and we could not be more proud to provide that to young girls looking to train with the pros.”
Challenger Sports, the largest soccer camp operator in the United States and Canada, and the Red Stars Academy have created a new youth soccer landscape for girls-only co-branded camps that will allow both parties to grow throughout the Midwest.
“Everybody at Challenger Sports is very excited about the opportunity to work alongside the Chicago Red Stars in providing quality summer programming,” said Derek Shoare, the Senior Vice-President and National Business Manager for Challenger Sports. “Our goals are to provide a great week long camp with the combined resources of Challenger Sports and the Chicago Red Stars Academy, heighten the profile of the Chicago Red Stars and the Women’s Professional League in order to encourage more people to attend games, and offer special access to the Team through our partnership.”
The Red Stars Academy has prided themselves on offering girls in the Midwest the opportunity to train and learn from the team’s professional athletes, which will continue with the partnership between the Academy and Challenger Sports.
A complete camp schedule will be released in the upcoming months. For more information about Challenger Sports click here or for more regarding our Red Stars Academy click here and follow them on Twitter.
