Alyssa Mautz Out Indefinitely with Knee Injury

CHICAGO — Chicago Red Stars midfielder Alyssa Mautz has been ruled out for the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup after suffering a tear to her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee during a training session.

The longest tenured player in Chicago Red Stars history, the midfielder has played in 124 matches for the club in the NWSL era. Prior to joining the Red Stars for NWSL, Mautz was part of the Red Stars in the Women’s Premier Soccer League Elite (WPSL-Elite).
