CHICAGO – The Chicago Red Stars announced that open tryouts have been finalized for the 2020 season. Tryouts will take place on February 27^th and 28th at the Village of Bridgeview Dome located in the parking lot of SeatGeek Stadium (7000 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview, IL).

Online registration is currently open and the cost of the tryout is $110.  Any player interested in participating in open tryouts must register by Tuesday, February 25 ay 5:00pm CT.

The tryout is open to all college seniors or post-college players.  In order to participate, all players must complete a registration form, sign a liability waiver, have proof of medical insurance and pay the tryout fee.

The Red Stars have continuously had a strong turnout at open tryouts, with a handful of participants invited to the club’s official preseason training camp. A number of these participants were chosen to take part in the Red Stars Reserve program (2015 WPSL National Champions and 2016 and 2018 WPSL National Semifinalists) and were called up to the senior team throughout the season to fill-in during international breaks.

Day 1 – Thursday, February 27

Player Check-In: 10:30 AM

Session 1: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Session 2: 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Day 2 – Friday, February 28 (by Invite Only)

Player Check-In: 9:00 AM

Session 1: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
