U.S. Soccer provided the following update on Mallory Swanson today: 

“Swanson suffered a torn patella tendon in her left knee near the end of the first half in the USA’s 2-0 victory over Ireland yesterday in Austin, Texas. She returned to Chicago today for further evaluation.” 

The Chicago Red Stars have been in communication with U.S. Soccer since the injury yesterday. We fully support Mallory as she returns to Chicago to rest. Thank you to everyone who sent messages of support.
