Through our community initiatives, we create opportunities for youth development, women in sports, and accessibility to soccer. We work closely with schools, non-profits, and local businesses to bring soccer to the forefront of community life.

Player Initiatives

The CRS Cares Foundation was established to provide programming and opportunities designed to empower and uplift members of our community – particularly women and those from marginalized populations – on the field, at the table, and in the community.

Our players are not just athletes; they are role models and advocates. The Red Stars actively participate in outreach programs, clinics, and events that promote teamwork, leadership, and respect. We encourage our players to give back by sharing their passion for the sport and inspiring the next generation.

In 2024, the Red Stars partnered with Wintrust to launch a player-led initiative, allowing the team to select three charities that reflect our club's values. On June 8, during the match at Wrigley, Wintrust generously donated $50,000 to these chosen charities - Beyond the Ball, Girls in the Game, and Girls, Inc.

Activating in the Community

Our commitment goes beyond financial support; we’re actively engaging with our community and supporting our three player-chosen charities. Our commitment includes hosting community clinics, financial wellness and STEM events, and providing opportunities for fans to meet our players. By leaning into these initiatives, we’re building meaningful connections in the community and making a lasting impact together.

We are proud to partner with organizations that share our vision. Through these partnerships, youth from marginalized populations throughout Chicago and its surrounding areas obtain powerful life skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership abilities when they participate in team sports like soccer, receive top-notch coaching, and have accessibility to professional athletes.

Our commitment to making the game available to everyone is strengthened through our partnerships with Wintrust, the YMCA, and local non-profits.
