Our 2020 Training Program and Preseason Academy are tailored to aspiring soccer players who want access to and insights from the best coaches and players in women’s soccer. Please know that the safety of your children is our highest priority. Our training and academies will adhere to the following practices:
A maximum of 45 players per session
Require participant temperatures to be taken at drop-off before parents leave
Camp is closed to any participant with symptoms
Require players to bring their own balls
Players will be escorted onto the field by a staff member
No parents allowed on the field
Player check-in will be done on the first day at the drop off area
Masks are to be worn by every player while walking to and from the fields
All staff will be wearing masks and gloves (except coaching staff are not required to wear gloves)
Disinfecting of all equipment before and after every training session

Now you can train like the pros! Designed to build technical speed and confidence on the ball, this in-person individual and small group training program delivers what’s required to be a top level player. The Red Stars Training Program is directed and coached by former professional soccer player and current Chicago Red Stars Academy Director, Michelle Lomnicki. All sessions are created to:
- Improve individual technique through repetition.
- Focus on game scenarios within the player’s preferred position.
- Enhance tactical awareness through drills aimed at getting players to think, interpret, and make quick decisions.

Open to girls, birth years 2013-2002 of all skill levels, our Preseason Academy provides a professional and fun environment for girls to cultivate new skills while further developing current strengths. Campers will run through skill development and tactical awareness sessions that have been used to create World Cup and Olympic Champions at the Red Stars. The curriculum is led by current Red Stars staff, coaches, and players and focuses on:
- Foot skills and passing
- Finishing techniques that allow players to be successful in game situations
- Small-sided games, creating an environment to prepare them for upcoming competition
