Kealia Watt’s brace; goals from Goralski and DiBernardo lead Chicago to win.
CHICAGO – Chicago scored four goals on three different goal scorers as they defeated Sky Blue FC 4-1 in their first game at SeatGeek Stadium in 2020. Kealia Watt scored her first two goals in a Red Stars uniform and added an assist on Vanessa DiBernardo’s Goal. Zoey Goralski scored her first professional goal as well.
6’ – Ifeoma Onumonu scores off of a blocked shot by Sabrina Flores at the center of the net to give Skt Blue the early lead
10’ – Kealia Watt receives the assist from Vanessa DiBernardo’s lead pass and scores her first open play goal to tie the game

57’ Sarah Luebbert plays in Watt on the counter and Watt connects for her second goal of the game.
- Sunday afternoon’s game continued a trend the Red Stars have had since the Challenge Cup. With first-half goals from Kealia Watt, Zoey Goralski, and Vanessa DiBernardo, 10 of Chicago’s goals in 2020 in open play up to that point were all scored by a different member of the team. Watt’s goal in the second half was the team’s 11th.
- Chicago’s youth left their mark for the second straight Fall Series game as another member of the Red Stars scored their first professional goal on Sunday. Zoey Goralski, who was drafted by Chicago in 2018, scored her first professional goal in the first half giving Chicago a 2-1 lead at that point in the game. This follows last week’s game where Sarah Luebbert scored her first professional goal on the road against Washington.
- In her second straight start for the Red Stars, Sarah Luebbert left her mark on the pitch. Luebbert finished a game with a passing accuracy of 90%, with a 77.8% accuracy in the opposing half. She would also register her first professional assist in the second half, finding Watt on her second goal for the game.
- Camryn Biegalski, in her first professional start, finished the game with a passing accuracy of 75.5% and 60% in the opposing half. Biegalski would also finish with two tackles, clearances, and interceptions each along with two crosses in the open play.
The Chicago Red Stars play at home for a National Game of the Week matchup when they face the Washington Spirit on Saturday, September 26th at 12 p.m. CT on CBS.
