Chicago – The Chicago Red Stars announced today an update on the status of defender Taylor Comeau.

During the Chicago Red Stars home game on Saturday, June 17, Taylor Comeau left the match in the 75th minute after a collision with Washington Spirit midfielder Kristie Mewis. After an evaluation by the team doctor, Comeau was taken by an ambulance to a local hospital for further assessment. Following the tests, it was revealed that Comeau suffered a lung contusion.

At this time, she is currently resting and will be reevaluated by a doctor on Wednesday.
