CHICAGO  – It was announced today that Chicago Red Stars players Christen Press (USA), Karina LeBlanc (CAN), Adriana Leon (CAN), and Rachel Quon (CAN) have been named to the March international tournament rosters of the United States Women’s National Team, and the Canadian Women’s National Team, respectively.

Red Stars forward Christen Press, who was allocated to Chicago for the 2014 NWSL season, was named to the 24-player U.S. Women’s National Team roster that will travel to the 2014 Algarve Cup in Portugal. Press leads all USWNT scorers this year with three goals in just 87 minutes of action.

This year’s Algarve Cup tournament will run from March 5-12. The U.S., which has been placed in Group B, will open play on March 5 against third-ranked Japan. The USA will then face sixth-ranked Sweden on March 7, and will finish group play on March 10 against 13th-ranked Denmark.

Goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc, forward Adriana Leon and defender Rachel Quon have also been named to Canada’s national team roster for the 2014 Cyprus Cup. Canada will carry a roster of 20-players to the Mediterranean where they’ll aim to reclaim the Cyprus Cup, a tournament they have won three times in the tournament’s history. The Cyprus Cup will run from March 3 – 13.
