Red Stars Held First ‘Remote Event’ in Decatur Saturday

The Chicago Red Stars held their first-ever ‘Remote Event’ in Decatur, in cooperation with the Mid State Soccer Club this past Saturday, October 5th. The event was attended by female youth players from Rochester Rockets, Illinois Fusion, Mattoon SC, and Midstate SC. The Remote Events were developed as a way to connect young athletes with the Red Stars professional team in ways that they otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so, due to distance. The Saturday event consisted of a clinic hosted by Red Stars players Julianne Sitch & Taylor Vancil, a lunch with the players, and ended with a Q&A and autographs.

You can read more about the event here from the Decatur Herald & Review.
