CHICAGO – Chicago Red Stars forward Michele Vasconcelos has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2019 National Women’s Soccer League season after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee during Sunday’s match against Sky Blue FC. 

Vasconcelos made her debut for the Red Stars in the 2018 NWSL Season after being selected 11th overall by Chicago in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. She has made 30 career appearances, all with the Red Stars. She has played in all 11 games this season, scoring two goals and assisting three more.
