CHICAGO (Feb. 5, 2014) – The Chicago Red Stars today announced their 2014 preseason schedule. The team will open training camp on March 10th in Chicago and play three exhibition matches before starting the regular National Women’s Soccer League season in April.

The preseason schedule kicks off on Saturday, March 22, in Fenton, Missouri (St. Louis) against the Red Stars NWSL Midwest rival FC Kansas City. This marks the first time the Red Stars will play another NWSL team in an exhibition match. Tickets to the match are complimentary to the public.

The second match-up will see the team travelling to the University of Notre Dame on Wednesday, April 2. Tickets at the gate are $5 for adults; $3 for children.

The Red Stars will return home for an ‘April Kick-Off’ event where they’ll host two separate opponents, DePaul University and Oakland University, over two 45-minute halves on April 6 at the Red Stars home field, Village of Lisle – Benedictine University Sports Complex in Lisle, IL. During the third 45-minute period when DePaul takes on Oakland, Red Stars season ticket holders and guests will be invited to take part in a post-game meet & greet and BBQ with Red Stars players, coaches and staff.

The April 6 matches are complimentary to Red Stars season ticket holders and $5 for the general public. Tickets for the preseason match against DePaul and Oakland will go on sale Friday, February 14 at 10amCT.
