CHICAGO – The Chicago Red Stars have announced the first-ever Red Stars Academy Residential Camp to take place July 10 – 13, in cooperation with Midwest Soccer Coaching and Premier Sports Programs.
The girls-specific camp is open to ages 8-18 and will be held on the campus of the Red Stars official home stadium at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill.
The camp will run for 4 days/3 nights with a primarily female coaching staff and coaching appearances, Q&A sessions and meet-and-greets by current Red Stars professional players.
All attendees receive a Red Stars Academy t-shirt as well as other giveaways and prizes throughout the camp. Campers will also attend a Red Stars National Women’s Soccer League match as a group in fieldside seats against Seattle Reign FC on July 12. Seattle features U.S. Women’s National Team star players Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe and Sydney Leroux. All campers are also eligible for a free general admission ticket to the Red Stars match against Portland Thorns FC featuring Alex Morgan on Wednesday, July 9, by request.
Camper cost is $595 for residents and $495 for commuters (those that will not be staying overnight). Cost is all-inclusive of camp, room & board. Siblings qualify for a $50 discount. Clubs wishing to promote the camp to their members will also receive a discount by contacting the Red Stars in advance. All Red Stars season ticket holders automatically qualify for a 20% discount by using the promo code provided by your ticket representative.
