CHICAGO – The Chicago Red Stars today announced its 24-game schedule for the 2014 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) regular season. The Red Stars will debut on April 19 against U.S. soccer star Abby Wambach and the Western New York Flash. The season opener will kick-off at 5pm Central Time at a location yet to be announced.

Following the season opener, the Red Stars will remain at home for their next match against Washington Spirit on April 26 at 7pm.

The Red Stars next set of matches will take them on the road and is highlighted with a game against Midwest rival FC Kansas City on April 30. The Midwest teams will face off three times this season, with the Red Stars hosting Kansas City on August 9.

On May 11, the Red Stars will host NWSL expansion team Houston Dash for the first of two Houston visits to Chicago this season. The Dash, who joined the league in December 2013, is anchored by former Chicago Red Stars goalkeeper Erin McLeod, as well as Ella Masar, a former Red Stars player and Urbana, Illinois native.

After a series of road trips in June, The Red Stars return home in July for an exciting 3-game home stand against the teams of the Pacific Northwest; playing Alex Morgan and the Portland Thorns on July 9 and 17, and against Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe and the Seattle Reign on July 12.

On August 2, the Red Stars will make their last road trip of the regular season as they head to Washington to take on the Spirit. The team will finish the remainder of the regular season at home, with games against FC Kansas City (Aug. 9), Boston Breakers (Aug. 13), and Western New York Flash (Aug. 16).

The Red Stars preseason schedule was announced yesterday and includes matches against FC Kansas City (March 22), The University of Notre Dame (April 2), DePaul University and Oakland University (April 6).

All Red Stars regular season home games will be played at Village of Lisle – Benedictine University Sports Complex in Lisle, IL (with the exception of April 19 – location to be announced).

Season ticket packages are on sale now for as low as $150. Individual game and preseason tickets will go on sale February 14 at 10am CT. Tickets can be purchased now by calling 773-697-8699 or visiting chicagoredstars.com/tickets.
